Wichita, Kan. — Wichitan Nancy Myers just completed a nice, warm vacation in Mexico but returns to winter-like weather delays in the states.

Myers says, “Found out that the flight to Wichita was cancelled so I had to spend the night in the Dallas airport. Ha, ha.. and it wasn’t too pleasant.”

While waiting at carousel number 1 for her bags she says, “But I’m awfully glad to be home. I’m a wreck.”

American Airlines and American Eagle cancelled more than 300 flights due to icy conditions at the Dallas Ft. Worth airport.

Newly weds Samuel and Naomi Hawkinson were returning from their honeymoon in Mexico to Manhattan.

Samuel Hawkinson says, “We got into Dallas just fine. But we were told in Mexico that we would have to rebook our flight. So they rebooked us for this morning but we were booked for last night and ended up having to get a hotel.But an extended honeymoon’s not too bad.”

The AAA estimates three million Americans will be flying for the Thanksgiving holidays. But given the weather pattern there could be more delays yet to come.
